After stringing out just a few shows over many moons, we’re hitting March 2013 with a vengeance. We’ll be playing a few of our favorite venues, performing a few marathon-length sets, and they’re almost all free!

Friday, March 1st @ Wintergrass
Playing the Montana Bluegrass Society showcase on Friday night. Look for the Montana Bluegrass Hospitality Suite at the Hyatt. No, we’re not from Montana, but we’ve gotten naked in plenty of hot springs there.

Friday and Saturday, March 8 & 9 @ the Snorting Elk, Crystal Mountain
We’ve had our April date on the books for a while. But thankfully we got the emergency call for March as well. We’ll be trading out Ken for Pat Ferris on bass for this weekend.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 15-17 @ TS McHugh’s in Queen Anne
Our favorite place to be on St Patrick’s day. With the holiday falling on a Sunday we’ll be there all dang weekend! Friday and Saturday are free, Sunday will cost you, but trust us, you can not put a price on the fun to be had!

The nice folks over at CokeMachineGlow.com have given a nice review of When I’m Gone / Talk About Heaven.

Speaking about the several years between Cheap American Lager and The Smolder Sessions, George Bass notes “…the whole band’s spent the last six years crawling outside the studio, trying to remember which plant pot they hid the key in. If that’s the case then they’ve been sinking stronger things than Pearl Light as The Smolder Sessions has an experimental edge to it…”.

Beer and Chocolate for Charity – II

It’s the Sunday before Valentine’s Day, so what better way to celebrate than with beer and chocolate? The event will feature pairings of a scrumptious variety of Theo Chocolate and your favorite beers from Georgetown Brewing. Marcarina Bakery will provide a variety of yummy snacks. Entertainment will be provided by The Blue Tracks a “blues / rock” style band and, back by popular demand, Creeping Time, a blue grass style band featuring the famous Dave Forrester on drums. You can feel good about it, too, while indulging your palate, with proceeds going to charity Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest Autism science and advocacy organization.

Also on tap will be a sneak preview of the 2012 batch of Lisa’s “the sun is trying to kill me” Chocolate Stout, to be officially released Feb. 14th. Georgetown Brewing uses 20lbs of Theo Chocolate to brew this fantastic concoction. The evening will end with stout flouts combining Molly Moon’s ice cream and Georgetown Brewing’s amazing chocolate stout.

Tickets are $50 and limited, so get them while you can.

American Music’s Musician’s Lounge

We’re super excited to be playing our first show of 2013 at American Music’s Musician’s Lounge on January 17, 2013.

We’ve shopped at American Music, lived-rehearsed-and-gigged nearby, and are happy to be supporting their new bi-weekly Musician’s Lounge series.

This is a daytime gig (5-7pm) so bring the families and don’t worry about work the next day.

Riding into the Sunset

Creeping Time has played in Ballard coming up on triple-digit numbers. And as sidemen in other acts we’ve played the Sunset Tavern dozens of times. However, we’re excited to actually play the Sunset Tavern as Creeping Time for the first time this coming Thursday.

We’ll be sharing the night with our friends the Weatherside Whiskey Band – an awesome high-energy country act that includes Cajon. Also on the bill is Dillon Warnek.

Slim’s Last Chance. Hopefully headed back soon

Great time at Slim’s Last Chance last night.

We were down a drummer and fiddle player, so we picked up Aimee Zoe for the evening and she provided an incredible-edible-egg’s worth of energy to keep us in top shape. Also helping out was some great stage sound!

Thanks to all who came out. We hope to do it again soon… on the truck in the back yard!

Drink Beer and Raise Money!

This Monday, May 14th, Creeping Time will be playing at the Nickerson Street Saloon. This is one of the biggest parties of the year and we’re more than thrilled to be helping support Georgetown Brewing Co.’s goal of raising $70,000 for The Ronald McDonald House of Western Washington and Alaska. Please come out and support a great cause…and take Tuesday off if you need to!

May 14: Bob’s release, Nickerson, 3pm

It’s the time of year we’ve all been waiting for: May 14 will be our annual (maybe the sixth?) release of Bob’s Brown Ale at the Nickerson St. Saloon. You don’t want to miss it this year because we’re ramping up the party atmosphere with a little help from Creeping Time! Live music and Bob’s on a Monday night! Auction items abound, limited souvenir shirts will be on hand, and the generous folks at the Nickerson, as always, have promised to donate 100% of the proceeds from the beer they pour that night back to Ronald McDonald House Charities. So get down there and see if we can pound through a handful of kegs. Also worth noting, “The Nick” is now virtually all ages, so there will be more space to sit for anyone bringing the kiddos.
